Haworthia cuspidata (1 minute read)

Hello,

Today I will be sharing one of my personal favorites with you.  This little plant is called Haworthia cuspidata (or star window plant) and is most recognizable by its translucent, juicy leaves. It’s originally from a little place called Riversdale in the Western Cape of South Africa.  For many years, they thought it was part of the aloe family. Here are some more fun facts:

• Like most succulents it’s easy to grow and requires little watering.
• Flowers tend to be small and white.
• Usually small rosettes that will bud off or clump.
• Thrives in USDA Zones 9-11.
• Doesn’t have very deep growing roots.
• Only way to propagate is to remove one of the pups.
• Make sure it has some roots before you cut it off the main plant.
